Construction Planner.

We have an interesting role based in one of our clients’ offices in South Dublin.

HQ based – opportunity for some remote working – occasional travel to regional offices and site.

The role we feel would suit an individual coming from a main contracting environment looking to move into a more client focused role. Working alongside the Project Management team you will lead and maintain the planning / scheduling function on several projects throughout the entire project lifecycle.

Project involvement will typically commence at the feasibility stages, pre appointment of the project design team. The role is a support role to the project management team, but a key one and one that the directors of the company feel will grow and become evermore increasingly important to the future success of the organisation. This will be the first appointment of this nature by the firm and with this comes a tremendous opportunity to make this role your own, shape the future of the service and potentially grow a team within the business.

The service this team of the business offers is as Consulting Project Managers. Taking the client role, looking after clients’ interests on the project, making sure they are constantly aware of progress, changes and their responsibilities in addition to the task of managing the procurement, appointment and coordination of design and construction teams through concept, planning, design, delivery and handover.

Construction project values can range from several hundred million to typically no less than €5m. Our client are active in a number of industry sectors including, but not limited to: Residential, Commercial, Industrial, Data Centres and Life Sciences projects.

Person Specification:

  • The are looking for a construction planner, ideally with a construction related degree.
  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in the Irish / UK construction market.
  • Experience in MS Project / Asta essential and some experience with Primavera P6 would be a definite advantage.
  • Ambitious, our client is seeking an individual that want to grow their career and ideally a business within their business.
  • A strong and confident communicator. You will be part of the project leadership team. Sub consultants and the construction teams will feed into you. You will be responsible for ensuring they comply with their contractual obligations.

Envisaged salary range – €75,000 to €85,000 plus pension, bonus and several other standard and non-monetary benefits.
