Sustainability Consultant – Real Estate – Dublin

Property / Real Estate sector experience essential.

Our client are a large international organisation with a significant footprint in Dublin with further expansion plans over the coming years. Based in the heart of the city, with excellent transport links our client offer a modern working environment, utilise cutting edge technologies and actively encourage staff to maintain a positive work life balance. Flexible working policy was already in place pre-covid.

As a “Sustainability Consultant” within the organisation the role will have two a lines of accountability; service delivery and internal reporting.

The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in the further development of the “business line” with significant support at board level locally, the Regional Head of Sustainability and Sustainability leads from other international locations within the business.

Our client is looking for an ambitious, credible candidate with excellent presentation, report writing and networking skills but most importantly a passion for sustainability and environmental aspects of the real estate and construction industry.

This is a hands on client facing role. Confidence in your ability and knowledge of the current standards, legislation and guidelines as they apply in Ireland are essential.

The successful candidate will be a natural leader, a passion for sustainability, be a problem solver, have the ability to prioritise and have excellent reporting skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for supporting the Head of Sustainability providing advisory services across company business lines and the full real estate life cycle.
  • Provide expert advice and lead internal and external stakeholders on matters relating to sustainability.
  • Develop, nurture and maintain client relationships.
  • Help convert business leads / opportunities across a range of real estate sectors throughout the property lifecycle.
  • Provide support to other business lines within the organisation with regard to matters of sustainability.

Qualifications:

Degree qualified in Engineering, Surveying, Architecture or another Construction / Property related discipline and ideally chartered with an appropriate professional body.

Experience:

  • Experience and knowledge of sustainability methodologies BREEAM, LEED etc..
  • A proven track record in meeting set targets
  • Proven presentation and project management skills.
  • Ideally a minimum of 3 to 5 years post grad experience within the sustainability sector.
  • Knowledge of Well Building Standard, Fitwel and GRESB, EPRA reporting standards.
